Ataturk show special for 29 October at Galata Tower

In the demonstration organized within the scope of October 29 Republic Day, black and white photographs of Atatürk from different periods were projected on the facade of the Galata Tower.

In the show, which included moments where Atatürk gave a speech, greeted citizens and participated in official ceremonies, the crescent and star of the Turkish flag and the message 'Happy October 29 Republic Day' also illuminated the tower.

Citizens watching the show recorded those moments with their mobile phones.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that Galata Tower was illuminated with photographs of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the Turkish flag on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the Republic.

"We projected the photographs of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, who left their mark on history, the unique images engraved in our memories, from his speeches at the podium to the moments when he greeted his nation and the shots where he walked with his companions, on the walls of the historical tower, together with our glorious crescent. In each frame, we felt once again our nation's will for independence, the deep gratitude we feel for our Republic, and the great trust we carry to future generations. The light of our Republic will continue to shine in these lands forever."
