Consultancy services were provided to 1 million 117 thousand expectant mothers

According to the statement made by the Ministry, the theme of the first day of the week within the scope of Public Health Week was determined as "Healthy Mother, Healthy Generation".

In 1774 Pregnancy Schools across the country, training and consultancy services are provided in order to increase the knowledge and awareness of pregnant women and their relatives who will accompany them at birth regarding pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

In this context, counseling services have been provided to 1 million 117 thousand 413 pregnant women to date in Pregnancy Schools. While 420 thousand 747 applications were made to Pregnant Schools in 2025, 171 thousand 82 pregnant women applied in the first six months of 2026.

In Pregnancy Schools, information is given about the physiological and psychological changes that occur during pregnancy, the development of the baby, nutrition and daily life during pregnancy, pregnancy follow-ups and routine examinations, danger signs and ways to follow in emergency situations.

The "Motherhood Journey" mobile health application, developed to provide easy access to accurate and reliable information about maternal and baby health from pregnancy to postpartum, was published in all application markets in May 2025 and made available to citizens free of charge.
