COP31 venue will be Türkiye's largest open-air stage

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, preparations for COP31 are continuing.

In this context, the 1 million 100 thousand square meter COP31 area, where the most important organization of climate diplomacy will be held, will also be used as an exhibition area.

Thousands of works will be showcased under the theme "COPArt: Still Possible" for climate awareness and a call to action.

COPArt will bring together visitors from all over Türkiye with art in Antalya and draw attention to the importance of climate action. The art events, directed and curated by Nagihan Özel, will be held simultaneously with the Conference of the Parties on 9-20 November.

Citizens will be able to attend the events in the Green Zone free of charge, and the events in the Blue Zone will only be open to representatives of countries and states accredited by the UN.

On the other hand, 48 panels and interviews will be held in the 6,600 square meter indoor exhibition area. Within the scope of the activities of local artists, the exhibition titled "Six Masters Six Traces" will include the works of Fahrelnissa Zeid, Burhan Doğançay, Ömer Uluç, Devrim Erbil, Mehmet Güleryüz and Haluk Akakçe.

The selection, ranging from masters such as Şeker Ahmet Paşa, Osman Hamdi Bey, Hoca Ali Rıza, Nazmi Ziya Güran and İbrahim Çallı to modern and contemporary artists, will meet the public for the first time.

While the Ministry aims to create a cultural heritage that will inspire future COP organizations with COPArt, within the scope of the international selection, it will address the relationship of man with nature from different perspectives with the works of Anselm Kiefer, Heinz Mack, Cecilia Vicuna, Koen Vanmechelen, Joel Andrianomearisoa, Luke Jerram and Pneuhaus, Alejandro Duran, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Gabriel Rico Jimenez, Anthony James and Clarissa Tossin.
