Directorate of Communications will organize The Birth of a Friendship exhibition in Seoul
According to the statement made by the Directorate of Communications, the exhibition, which will open tomorrow at the Korean War Museum, consists of photographs recorded by master photographer İzzet Keribar in South Korea in 1956 and 1957.
The exhibition, which will include photographs that shed light on South Korea during the post-war recovery period of approximately 70 years ago, aims to bring Keribar's personal testimony and the visual memory of the period together with today.
The photographs Keribar recorded in South Korea, where he was a soldier and translator, will reflect daily life after the war, the country's recovery process, and the presence of Turkish soldiers who did not leave the South Korean people alone in this process.
As part of the event, the artist's photography book of the same name, which brings together his photography works on South Korea, will also be introduced.
The exhibition, which aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Türkiye and South Korea through culture and art, can be visited until November 12.
