Minister Çiftçi: We aim to further our cooperation in the field of security with Italy

Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi stated in his statement on his social media account that they hosted Piantedosi and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry.

Stating that during the meeting, they discussed common agendas in the field of security, especially the fight against irregular migration and immigrant smuggling, the fight against terrorism, new generation organized crime organizations and extradition of criminals, Çiftçi continued as follows:

Emphasizing that they continue to fight against terrorism and organized crime organizations with determination in line with the goals of "Terrorism-Free Turkey" and "Terrorism-Free Zone" under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Çiftçi said, "We aim to further our cooperation in the field of security with our NATO ally and strategic partner, Italy, with concrete steps. I would like to thank my valuable counterpart, Mr. Matteo Piantedosi, for his kind visits and constructive meetings."
