Sultans of the Net advanced to the finals

In the match played at the East Asian Games Dome in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China, the star and crescent team faced the host China in the semi-finals.

Winning the match 3-0 against China with sets of 25-21, 25-15 and 25-20, the National Women's Volleyball Team made its name in the finals once again after 2018 and 2023.

The crescent-star team will face Brazil, which is in the second place of the world rankings, in the final.

The national team will take to the field for the gold medal tomorrow at 14.30 GMT. The national team, who lost to Brazil 3-1 in the VNL last year and 3-1 in the third place match at the Olympic Games in 2024, will take to the court to get the rematch of these matches.

Brazil, which has lost the final 4 times in VNL history, will fight to get its first championship in its 5th final.

Türkiye will try to get the gold medal for the second time in the final stage of the VNL, which has been held since 2018, for the 8th time in a row.

The national team, which won the VNL championship in 2023 by defeating China in the final, lost to the USA in the final match in 2018 and completed the organization with a silver medal.

The crescent-star team also secured its 4th medal in the organization. Türkiye, which previously had one gold, silver and bronze medal, will increase the number of gold or silver medals to two in the 2026 VNL.
