The Victory Cup stage of the 7th Presidential International Yacht Races will be held tomorrow

The organization, organized by the Istanbul Open Sea Yacht Racing Club under the auspices of the Presidency, with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and in cooperation with the Istanbul Governorship and the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), will start tomorrow at 14.00 in front of the Dolmabahçe Palace. In the race in which 58 teams will compete, sailboats equipped with Turkish flags will create unique images on the Bosphorus.

The sails will be set against the challenging winds of the Bosphorus in a special stage that pays tribute to the glorious heritage of August 30 Victory Day. Approximately 600 athletes will compete between Dolmabahçe and Arnavutköy.

The race, which will combine the enthusiasm of August 30 Victory Day with the unique atmosphere of the Bosphorus, will witness unforgettable moments for both the athletes and the people of Istanbul.

Istanbul Open Sea Yacht Racing Club President Ekrem Yemlihaoğlu said that they wanted to offer sailing enthusiasts and the public an unforgettable sailing pleasure.

Emphasizing that each stage of the 7th Presidential International Yacht Races has its own spirit and historical depth, Yemlihaoğlu said, "We will proudly commemorate this glorious legacy left to us by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, in the heart of the Blue Homeland, on the Bosphorus, on August 30 Victory Day. After the completion of the Victory Cup, the third stage of the races, on August 30, Victory Day, all eyes will turn to the grand finale of the season.

The Republic Cup, which is the final stage of the organization, will be held on the Bosphorus on October 29, Republic Day.

In the championship race, where the points obtained at all stages throughout the season will be evaluated, the team that reaches the highest score at the end of the season will be the owner of the championship cup.
