1 trillion liras for transportation programs next year

According to the information compiled from the 2027 Central Government Budget Law Proposal, the progress provided by technological developments brings rapid change in the transportation sector. In order to keep up with this process, various amounts of resources will be allocated for transportation programs next year.

In this context, the largest share in the transportation sector will be used for railway transportation with 514 billion 941 million 311 thousand liras. The budget in question, which was approximately 377 billion 196 million 244 thousand liras this year, was increased by approximately 36.52 percent for 2027.

The budget allocated for road transportation, which ranks second, this year as 365 billion 156 million 17 thousand liras, was increased to 482 billion 458 million 296 thousand liras next year, with an increase of 32.12 percent.

The budget of the information and communication program was also increased by 38.84 percent, from 23 billion 292 million 789 thousand liras to 32 billion 339 million 916 thousand liras.

The budget for the maritime transportation program, which reached approximately 7 billion liras this year, reached 18 billion 126 million 46 thousand liras for next year, with an increase of 166.16 percent.

In the combined transportation, logistics and dangerous goods transportation program, next year's budget increased by 21.29 percent compared to this year and reached 7 billion 330 million 919 thousand lira.

Thus, the total budget in transportation programs, which was 778 billion 499 million 194 thousand liras this year, will reach 1 trillion 55 billion 196 million 488 thousand liras next year, with an increase of 35.54 percent.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said that more efficient use of existing infrastructure, increasing railway capacity, developing port and logistics infrastructure and integrating different transportation types come to the fore in transportation investments.
