According to information obtained from Ministry of Internal Affairs sources, the number of incidents in 9 important crimes against property in the responsibility areas of the General Directorate of Security and Gendarmerie General Command decreased from 219 thousand 337, which was the average of the same period of 2021-2025, to 152 thousand 452 this year.

The number of incidents in these crimes decreased by 30.5 percent compared to the average for the same period of the previous 5 years.

The rate of clarification in 9 important crimes against property increased from 78.2 percent to 92 percent. The total number of incidents of the other 8 crimes, excluding fraud, decreased from 111 thousand 170, which was the average for the same period of 2021-2025, to 37 thousand 732. Thus, a 66.1 percent decrease in the total number of incidents was recorded.

Among the 9 crimes examined, only fraud increased. The number of fraud cases increased by 6.1 percent to 114 thousand 720, compared to the average of 108 thousand 167 for the same period.

Within the scope of 10 important crimes against persons, 514 thousand 828 incidents occurred between January 1 and October 8, 2026. This number decreased by 11.4 percent compared to the average of 580 thousand 892 for the same period of 2021-2025.

The rate of enlightenment in these crimes increased from 97.7 percent to 99.4 percent.

The number of intentional homicide incidents decreased by 25.5 percent to 1182, compared to 1587, which was the average for the same period of the previous 5 years. The clarification rate in intentional homicide cases that occurred between January 1 and October 8 of this year was 100 percent.

The number of incidents in which firearms were used by motorcyclists also dropped to 75 this year, a decrease of approximately 71 percent from 255, which was the average for the same period in 2024 and 2025.
