52.5 billion lira support will be provided to livestock in 2027

According to the information compiled from the 2027 Presidential Annual Program, the 2026 agricultural support budget is expected to reach 167.6 billion lira by the end of the year. The support budget was increased to 235 billion lira next year, increasing by 40.2 percent compared to this year.

In this context, it is aimed to increase the productivity and production quality of livestock. The support provided to livestock is planned to reach a total of 36 billion 616 million lira this year, and to reach 52 billion 504 million lira next year, with an increase of 43.4 percent.

With the Presidential Decree on Livestock Support to be Made in 2024-2026, it was aimed to increase productivity in livestock, protect animal health and increase production on the basis of basins determined within the scope of planned production.

The decision of 2 years ago was replaced by the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette dated September 7, 2026.

With this change, additional coefficients were introduced for calves and calves born from embryo transfer and sex-determined semen applications, breeding female calves that underwent genomic testing, lambs and kids born at nomadic referral control points and disease-free enterprises, and raw milk sold through collectors with professional qualification certificates.

Pasture improvement studies are of great importance in terms of meeting the need for quality roughage in animal husbandry and ensuring the sustainable use of pastures.

In this context, after the completion of pasture identification and delimitation (boundary determination) studies, improvement practices are continued to improve the grass yield and quality of the pastures.

Importance is given to carrying out pasture improvement works in a holistic framework by including the construction of structures that assist grazing in the improvement projects.
