Administrative sanctions against the business that victimized consumers in Samsun

Kaplan, Press Counselor of the Ministry of Commerce, announced that an inspection was carried out against the business in Samsun that did not accept the return of the discounted product and told the consumer "Go wherever you want to complain", and an administrative fine was imposed due to violations of the legislation.

Kaplan stated that the Samsun Provincial Directorate of Commerce teams took immediate action after the citizen reported the situation to the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER), and noted that a comprehensive inspection was carried out at the business.

"During the inspections, 400 stationery, cleaning and glassware products were examined, 10 products were found to be in violation of the Price Label Regulation, and an administrative fine was imposed on the business. In addition, it was determined that the start and end dates of discounted sales were not specified for 5 products, and the prices before the campaign could not be proven; the relevant business was referred to the Advertising Board."

Emphasizing that there will be no compromise on the protection of consumer rights, Kaplan said, "We are on duty in Samsun, my father's home, as well as in 81 provinces of Türkiye, to protect the rights of our consumers.
