Borsa Istanbul starts the new week at 11.745,68 points

BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sales-oriented trend on Friday, lost 2.89 percent of its value and finished the day at 11,721.72 points.

At today's opening, the index increased by 23.96 points and 0.20 percent compared to the previous closing, reaching 11,745.68 points. The banking index gained 0.38 percent and the holding index gained 0.21 percent.

Among the sector indices, the highest gain was insurance with 0.91 percent, and the biggest decrease was financial leasing factoring with 5.69 percent.

Global markets started the week with a recovery trend, as the work on a new reconciliation plan in the Middle East and the positive signals received from the macroeconomic data announced in China supported the risk appetite.

Analysts stated that short-term external debt statistics will be followed in the country today, while the data agenda will be calm abroad, and noted that technically, 11,900 and 12,000 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 11,600 and 11,500 points are support.
