Budget marathon starts in Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM)

The Grand National Assembly of Türkiye is starting discussions on the 2027 budget proposal. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will present the budget tomorrow.

The first stop in the Parliament during budget discussions will be the Planning and Budget commission.

Negotiations will continue on October 28 with the budget of the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Then the first agenda will be the economy. The budget of the Ministry of Industry and Technology will be discussed on November 2, and the budgets of the ministries of Commerce, Labor and Social Security, Treasury and Finance will be discussed in the same week.

17 ministers of the Presidential cabinet will present their budgets in turn.

In the commission, the ministers of Justice, National Education, Internal Affairs, National Defense and Foreign Affairs will explain the activities of their ministries to the MPs, respectively.

The Court of Accounts reports of the previous year will also be evaluated during the meetings. Negotiations are expected to last more than a month.
