Çukurova Mayor Kozay was suspended from duty

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that Çukurova Mayor İlkay Çiçek was suspended from duty as a temporary measure.

In the statement made by the Ministry, the following statements were made:

"Adana province Çukurova Mayor Emrah Kozay said, "Çukurova Municipality and the municipality's Çukurova İmar İnşaat Human Resources Inc. He was suspended from duty by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a temporary measure in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Municipality Law No. 5393, upon his arrest in the investigation initiated regarding the allegations that there were irregularities in various tenders, direct procurement, personnel employment and progress payment transactions carried out within the company, that public resources were used unlawfully and that the said actions were carried out within the organizational structure created for the purpose of committing crimes.
