Demand for Turkish cherry marble in the international market is increasing. Elazığ's Alacakaya

Cherry marble, which is mined in Alacakaya and has become an important brand in the world natural stone market, is exported from Türkiye to many countries.

Making an evaluation on the subject, Alacakaya Mermer ve Maden İşletmesi AŞ Export Manager Salih Tufan stated that Türkiye's cherry marble exports continued to increase this year as well.

Stating that they showed a very successful performance in Türkiye's cherry marble exports in the January-June period of this year, Tufan said, "We achieved a significant success by increasing our exports by approximately 30 percent compared to the same period last year. We can say that the interest in our cherry marble is quite high in the first half of 2026 and the demand for our product in international markets is strengthening." he said.

Tufan pointed out that the export price of cherry marble may vary depending on factors such as color and pattern features of the product, quality class, dimensions, order volume and delivery conditions, and said, "Our annual production capacity is around 15-20 thousand tons in 200 thousand square meter blocks in the factory." he said.

Pointing out that there has been an increase in cherry marble exports to China this year, Tufan said, "China is one of the most important markets for our cherry marble. We mainly export block and rubble marble to this country. In the January-June period of 2026, we increased our exports to China by approximately 30 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Our cherry marble is the stone that attracted the most attention this year with its unique color, luxurious appearance and natural structure.
