Fight against cybercrime: 75 suspects arrested

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Directorate of Security, Department of Combating Cyber ​​Crimes, MASAK and the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor; It was announced that operations were carried out in 35 provinces as a result of the work carried out by the Provincial Police Departments Anti-Cyber ​​Crime Branch Directorates.

It was learned that 275 suspects were caught in the last 5 days, 75 of them were arrested, and judicial control provisions were applied to 46 of them.

Suspects; It was determined that they were defrauding our citizens by using the theme of "house sales price" on social media platforms, intermediating money transfers on illegal betting sites, making illegal betting and gambling, advertising illegal betting and gambling sites, gaining unauthorized access to citizens' mobile banking and gaming accounts, and containing obscene images of children.

Between January 1 and October 22, 2026, a total of 5 thousand 62 operations were carried out within the scope of combating cybercrime. In operations; 21 thousand 378 suspects were caught. 10 thousand 769 of the suspects were arrested, and judicial control provisions were applied to 5 thousand 260 of them.
