Foreign Minister Fidan will meet with Yemeni Foreign Minister AlZuba

According to information obtained from Ministry of Foreign Affairs sources, Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zuba, who was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs on July 24, will make her first bilateral foreign visit to Turkey after her visits to the Gulf countries.

Foreign Minister Fidan and Yemeni Foreign Minister Al-Zuba will meet in Istanbul today.

In Foreign Minister Fidan's meeting with his Yemeni counterpart, Turkey reiterated its support for the internationally recognized Legitimate Government of Yemen for the preservation of Yemen's territorial integrity and national unity; He is expected to express his hope for a permanent solution to the conflict in Yemen through political dialogue.

During the meeting, Minister Fidan is expected to emphasize that the Houthis' attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are unacceptable, and is expected to state that the current escalation in Yemen causes instability in the region to deepen.

Minister Fidan is also expected to point out the importance of re-establishing security and freedom of navigation in the Straits of Hormuz and Babülmandep as soon as possible.
