Heavy rain and snow warning from Meteorology

According to the latest evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), heavy rains will be effective in Southeastern Anatolia starting from this evening and in the Black Sea from the early hours of tomorrow.

According to forecasts, rainfall will increase in intensity in the Central and Eastern Black Sea region from the first hours of tomorrow morning. There will be heavy (21-50 kg/m2) showers around Samsun, Ordu, Giresun and Trabzon, very strong showers around Rize and Artvin, and occasionally heavy (51-100 kg/m2) showers and thunderstorms along the coastline.

Precipitation is expected to be in the form of heavy sleet and snowfall in the inner and higher parts of the Eastern Black Sea Region.

In the east of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, rain is expected to take effect starting from this evening. Locally heavy (21-50 kg/m2) showers and thunderstorms are expected in Diyarbakır, Batman, Siirt, Şırnak surroundings and the eastern parts of Şanlıurfa.

It was reported that the rains will continue intermittently until tomorrow night.
