Huge operation against drug traffickers in 78 provinces

The balance sheet of the operations, which dealt a heavy blow to the street-level and organized networks of poison dealers, has been announced. In the searches made; 1 ton 768 kilos 207 grams of narcotic substances and 2 million 236 thousand 908 narcotic pills were seized.

Judicial proceedings were initiated against 2 thousand 733 suspects caught as a result of the operations. While 1466 of the suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested by the courts and handed over to prison, a judicial control order was imposed on 414 suspects. It was reported that the procedures for the other suspects in custody are continuing.

In the Ministry's statement, it was emphasized that the fight against drugs will continue with determination; "We congratulate our heroic police officers, Narcotics Directorate, Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and all our personnel who contributed to the operations."
