Su rezervlerindeki iyileşme tarımsal üretim için olumlu sinyaller veriyor

According to the information compiled from the September "Climate, Phenological Condition and Irrigation Monitoring Statistics" bulletin of the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, an average of 32.4 millimeters of precipitation was recorded across Turkey last month.

September rainfall, whose long-term average was 24.9 millimeters and last year was 21.4 millimeters, increased by 30 percent compared to normal and 51 percent compared to the same month last year.

In the 2026 water year, which covers the period between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026, an average of 741.6 millimeters of precipitation was recorded in the country. Rainfall was 29 percent above normal and 76 percent above last year's rainfall, reaching the highest level in the last 66 years.

Meteorological and agricultural conditions followed a positive and balanced course throughout the country in the 2025-2026 agricultural year. The significant increase in precipitation supported plant growth.

While the grain harvest has been completed in some regions, it has reached completion in some regions. The development of field crops, especially cereals, was generally normal and healthy.

The active occupancy rate of irrigation dams was at 56.7 percent as of October 5. In this regard, it is evaluated that the agricultural production season was completed without a widespread agricultural drought throughout the country, and the improvement in rainfall and water reserves created positive conditions for the new production season.

In the 2026-2027 agricultural production season, which started as of October 1, meteorological conditions, precipitation, soil moisture, the status of water resources and the development of plant products will be closely monitored.

In addition, monitoring, early warning and risk assessment studies against regional drought risks that may occur in the 2026-2027 production season will be continued effectively on basin, province and district basis.
