KAAN detail on President Erdoğan's red tie
State officials led by President Erdoğan visited Anıtkabir on October 29, Republic Day. During the visit, Erdoğan was seen wearing a tie with KAAN figures on a red background.
President Erdoğan wore another tie with a KAAN pattern at the AK Party TBMM Group Meeting on the day the Badr Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Türkiye, Qatar, Indonesia and Pakistan.
Erdogan's use of the red color of the same pattern on Republic Day made his emphasis on "independence in the sky" and his support for national aviation projects visible again.
With the tie with the KAAN figure specially prepared by Turkish Aerospace Industries, Türkiye's goal of developing its own warplane on the anniversary of the founding of the Republic was symbolically carried to the ceremony at Anıtkabir.
Erdoğan's program includes accepting Republic Day congratulations at the Presidential Complex and attending the official dinner to be held with the participation of guest heads of state and delegations who came to Türkiye to attend the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkish States. Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are members of the organization, while Hungary, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Economic Cooperation Organization have observer status.
The KAAN tie, which was preferred on the day the Turkish world met in Ankara, established a symbolic link between the national aviation move and defense cooperation with friendly countries. This choice, which extends from the Badr Agreement to Republic Day, highlighted KAAN as the common symbol of Türkiye's technological independence and partnerships in the field of defense.
