Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that the fight against manipulative transactions and unfair gains in the capital markets will be continued with determination.

Stating that they meticulously follow the process carried out under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in order to protect the rights and savings of citizens and to prevent unfair profits from illegal transactions in the capital markets, Gürlek stated that they continue their work in the light of concrete evidence to ensure that those responsible are held accountable before justice and to protect the interests of the rights holders.

Minister Gürlek stated the following in the statement:

"Within the scope of the investigations carried out regarding manipulative transactions in the capital markets, judicial proceedings have been carried out against 404 people so far; 88 suspects have been arrested, 26 suspects have been detained, and judicial control measures have been implemented against 195 people. Efforts to capture 42 suspects who are fugitives continue uninterruptedly. Important measures have been taken by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the financial dimension of the investigations. The bank accounts have been frozen, the assets of 351 real persons and 102 legal entities have been frozen. Decisions were made to seize assets and prevent the transfer of real estate, thus aiming to protect the assets subject to investigation and to control financial movements.
