More than 871 billion liras were allocated to universities for next year

According to the 2027 Central Government Budget Law Proposal, 871 billion 826 million 761 thousand liras were allocated for the universities in the country next year.

Ankara University, with the budget allocation of 25 billion 990 million 811 thousand liras foreseen for 2027, the Directorate of European Union (18 billion 54 million 530 thousand liras), Directorate of Communications (10 billion 79 million 6 thousand liras), Supreme Court of Appeals (7 billion 97 million 505 thousand liras), Court of Accounts (6 billion 38 million 712 thousand liras), National Palaces Administration. It left behind institutions such as (5 billion 767 million 823 thousand liras) and the Council of State (4 billion 201 million 421 thousand liras).

Hacettepe University ranked second after Ankara University with a budget allocation of 24 billion 737 million 380 thousand lira. This institution was followed by Istanbul University with 22 billion 369 million 212 thousand liras, Gazi University with 21 billion 503 million 167 thousand liras and Ege University with 20 billion 278 million 966 thousand liras.

The university with the lowest funding offer ceiling was Türkiye International Islamic Science and Technology University with 253 million 74 thousand lira. The other educational institution with a low appropriation bid ceiling was Ankara Music and Fine Arts University with 998 million 339 thousand liras.

On the other hand, an appropriation of 2 billion 10 million 402 thousand liras was foreseen for the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and 162 million 124 thousand liras for the Higher Education Quality Board.
