Tests of the national high-speed train will be completed by the end of the year

Minister Uraloğlu made the test drive of the national high-speed train developed by TÜRASAŞ on the Ankara-Kırıkkale route.

"We do not just want to build the railway infrastructure, we want to be in the same league with the world in terms of railway vehicles. We have three factories under TÜRASAŞ in Türkiye, in Sakarya, Eskişehir and Sivas. Here we were producing everything from suburban sets to wagons, diesel and electric locomotives. In the past years, we produced our national electric train, which goes at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, and started running on the rails. The high-speed train world league is in Türkiye, from its design to its production. "We have been in such a difficult process and we have tried a speed of 250 kilometers per hour on the Ankara-Kırıkkale route with our train that will serve at a speed of 225 kilometers per hour. Our local, national high-speed train is on the Ankara-Kırıkkale roads and rails."

Stating that engineers put in a lot of effort during the production phase, Uraloğlu pointed out that they have now reached a 65 percent local and national rate in the train.

Uraloğlu stated that both train sets have entered the production line and said, "By the end of the year, we will open our high-speed train factory in Sakarya and start more holistic mass production there. We have carried out more than 200 tests on this vehicle. We are in cooperation with ASELSAN and TÜBİTAK here." he said.

Stating that deficiencies were seen and corrected during the testing phase, Uraloğlu noted that they also took these into consideration in new productions.

Uraloğlu stated that while driving, a speed of 225 kilometers per hour and a speed of approximately 250 kilometers per hour, which is 10 percent more than the speed that should be in the test, was observed, and said, "Rail vehicles are a modern, safe, comfortable type of travel that saves people time and creates an environment where they can do their work with computers or phones until they reach their destination. On the other hand, it is very environmentally friendly. The most powerful means of transportation that we can reduce and eliminate carbon emissions are railways. Electric vehicles are also on the roads, they are also valuable, but heavy vehicles are carbon "They still produce most of the emissions. Stating that the tests of the train will continue, Uraloğlu stated that the tests must be completed to obtain international certificates.
