The Constitutional Court (AYM), which will not change the name of the New Party, said
On today's General Assembly agenda, the Supreme Court discussed the application regarding the name of the New Party, alleging that it violates the Political Parties Law No. 2820.
As a result of the agenda meeting, the Constitutional Court rejected the application by majority vote.
Following the establishment of the New Party, the Innovation Party applied to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals due to the similarity of party names, and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office notified the New Party for a name change due to "confusion" and gave time until September 18.
Since the name change was not made, the file was sent to the Constitutional Court by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The Supreme Court discussed the file on the agenda of the General Assembly on September 29 and gave the party one month to present its defense.
