The new era IN the wage system OF public personnel

Changes are being made in the wage system of public employees. The difficulty level of the task and the level of authority and responsibility will be the basic criteria of the new model.

According to the 2027 Annual Program, a total of 5 million 400 thousand personnel, 3 million 582 thousand of whom are permanent staff, work in the public sector. In addition, there are more than 1,267,000 workers and nearly 420,000 contracted personnel. The number of people employed in other statuses is approximately 148 thousand.

The salaries of permanent, contracted and public workers are determined according to different legislation and payment principles.

In this context, public personnel legislation will be developed by taking into account personnel status and classification criteria. The public personnel wage system will be simplified.

Wage levels will be rearranged on the basis of duty and responsibility.

The wage systems of all public personnel employed in different statuses will be analyzed. A new and simplified public personnel wage system will be established based on the authority and responsibility levels of the titles.

Legislative work will be carried out to regulate the fields of duty, appointment and processes of career professional personnel and issues such as promotion in the profession. Thus, the employment of trained qualified personnel in the public sector will be maintained.

The works will be carried out by the General Secretariat of the Presidency, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and the Presidency of Strategy and Budget.
