At today's opening, the index increased by 63.33 points and 0.57 percent compared to the previous closing, reaching 11,180.31 points. The banking index gained 0.41 percent and the holding index gained 0.19 percent.

While global markets started the week on a mixed note due to ongoing geopolitical risks and continued selling pressure in the shares of technology companies, all eyes turned to the interest rate decisions of the US, European and Japanese central banks this week.
On the other hand, the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) took steps to support liquidity in the private sector bond market.
Accordingly, according to the letter sent by the CBRT to the banks, Turkish lira loans to be used to pay for debt instruments issued domestically in Turkish lira by private sector organizations other than banks, which are due to be redeemed by the end of the year, are exempt from the loan growth limit.
CBRT aims to support macrofinancial stability and liquidity management with the regulation.
Analysts stated that the data agenda will be calm in the country today, while the Ifo business confidence index in Germany will be followed abroad, and noted that technically, 11,300 and 11,400 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 11,100 and 11,000 points are support.
