Turkey's passenger car exports 8.7 miles in 9 months

According to Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association data, sector representatives sold passenger cars to 82 countries, autonomous regions and free zones in 9 months of the year.

In the January-September period, the share of passenger cars in the exports of the automotive industry, which achieved foreign sales of 31 billion 144 million 829 thousand dollars, was 28 percent.

Passenger car exports, which were 9 billion 303 million 695 thousand dollars in January-September 2025, were recorded as 8 billion 732 million 380 thousand dollars, with a decrease of 6.1 percent in the same period of this year.

The sector, where European countries are among the main export markets, exported the most passenger cars to France.

Automobile manufacturers increased their exports to France by 5 percent in the 9 months of the year, from 1 billion 562 million 263 thousand dollars to 1 billion 640 million 938 thousand dollars.

9-month passenger car exports to Spain, which ranks second on the list, increased by 6.3 percent compared to the same period last year, from 1 billion 136 million 144 thousand dollars to 1 billion 207 million 330 thousand dollars.

Exports to Italy, which ranks third, increased by 6.5 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 977 million 816 thousand dollars from 917 million 847 thousand dollars.

In the January-September period, sector representatives exported 715 million 513 thousand dollars of passenger cars to Germany, which ranked fourth, with a 25 percent decrease, and 712 million 361 thousand dollars of passenger cars to Slovenia, which ranked fifth, with an increase of 6.7 percent.
