Turkish flag tried to be lowered in Azerbaijan from DMM, denied claims

The Directorate of Communications' Center for Combating Disinformation made a statement regarding the allegations that "there was an attempt to lower the Turkish flag in Azerbaijan."

The following was stated in the post made on the social media account:

"The claims made in some media outlets and social media accounts that "there is an attempt to take down the Turkish flag in Azerbaijan" contain disinformation.

The images in question are old. Our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters gave the first and harshest reaction to the provocateur who tried to take a negative action against our flag at the time the images were taken. There was no such thing as lowering the Turkish flag.

Editing old content; Those who take it out of context and put it into circulation as if it were new are targeting the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

"The public is kindly requested to be sensitive and careful about such perception operations."
