Up to 3 years of imprisonment requested for Manifest's founder Tolga Nakit "Obscene publication"

The investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Tolga Stream, the founder and manager of the group publicly known as "Manifest", for the crime of "intermediating the publication of obscene publications" has been completed.

A summary of his statement was included in the indictment, and he said that he was the founder of the music group Manifest and that he selected the women in the music group in a competition called "BigFive Turkey".

Stream stated that he was not included as a suspect in the file in which 7 members of the Manifest group were tried after the concert held in Küçükçiftlikpark on September 6, 2025, and stated that the group's dance figures were not performed under his own management and that he did not have any responsibility.

Stream explained that 60 percent of the revenue sharing rate in the Manifest group's business relationship is distributed equally to the members.

Explaining that 40 percent of the income is allocated to the company's management project, Koşu said that they applied to the social media platform Netflix to make a series, and that they agreed on this issue after being told that the documentary, not the series, would make a better impression, and that their aim was to introduce the manifest group to the whole world by taking advantage of the global power of Netflix.

In the indictment, it was stated that the punishment of 7 female members of the group called Manifest for "immoral acts" due to their actions was only the visible part of these actions, and the following evaluations were included:

"It is not possible to accept that the fact that the suspect is not included in the file as a suspect in the relevant investigation does not constitute the crime of 'obscenity' as the main organizer in this provocative scene today, on the contrary, this group, which millions of children in Türkiye watch with admiration and take as a role model, clearly ignores the sense of decency and modesty of the society, and most importantly, denigrates the concept of 'family' in the society, designs, finances the images and causes them to reach the masses without any age protection filter. It has been understood that he took responsibility.”
