World leaders are coming to Antalya for COP31: Feverish work in hotels

There is only a short time left until COP31, the world's most important climate summit, which will be held in Antalya on 9-20 November. The summit, where world leaders, experts and civil society representatives will discuss common solutions for the fight against climate change and a sustainable future, will be an important meeting point for global climate policies.

Work is being carried out on accommodation, security and service processes in the hotels in the city, which is preparing to host many international guests for the summit.

Hotel managements act in coordination with relevant institutions to carry out the organization smoothly and safely.

Professional Hotel Managers Association President Hakan Saatçioğlu said that Antalya will host many participants from various countries at COP31.

Stating that there are serious preparations in hotels regarding COP31, Saatçioğlu said:

"Especially the occupancy of hotels in the Belek and Lara regions has increased significantly. We will have the opportunity to host high-level guests such as heads of state, ministers and members of parliament. Every time we host these guests, there will be a serious potential for us. They will talk about Antalya when they return to their countries. Therefore, it will have a serious contribution to marketing. Hotels normally start to close at the end of October, but many hotels keep their staff because COP31 is in November. Serious preparations are being made right now."

Saatçioğlu emphasized that Antalya hosted important congresses and said, "We are very clear about the security measures in the G20. Currently, very serious security measures have been taken in COP31. The police are very sensitive about this issue. Entry and exit to that area is very controlled. Entry and exit to those areas are made by providing vehicle license plates in advance. All of our personnel are very trained on this subject. As Antalya, we are ready for this congress."

Saatçioğlu said that Türkiye stands out in the world with its all-inclusive tourism service.
