National energy vision will be announced today: The road map extending to 2040 is ready

The "National Energy 2040" vision, which reveals Türkiye's new energy architecture, will be announced to the public before the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31) to be held in Antalya.

Minister Bayraktar will announce the details of Türkiye's new road map in the field of energy at the launch to be held at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office in Istanbul today.

Senior managers of public and private sector organizations, representatives of non-governmental organizations and managers of national and international media organizations will participate in the program.

Pointing out that the demand for electricity is increasing in Türkiye as well as all over the world, Bayraktar stated that electrification will be at the center of the "National Energy 2040" vision and said:

"The demand for electricity is increasing in our country as well as all over the world. In this context, electrification will be at the center of our new energy architecture. We are entering a new era in which the use of electricity will increase in all areas of our economy, from industry to transportation, from buildings to agriculture. We will increase electrification in every field."

Bayraktar emphasized that the infrastructure in this field should be strengthened with the widespread use of electrification and the transformation of energy markets, and said, "With National Energy 2040, we foresee billions of dollars of investment from electricity production to infrastructure."

Bayraktar stated that renewable energy will have an important place in the "National Energy 2040" vision and stated that renewable energy sources contribute to supply security and reduce foreign dependency.
