Russian woman who came to Türkiye for marriage chose Islam

Elena Dyachenko, who met İbrahim Girgin, a welder in Koçarlı, on social media, came to Türkiye for marriage purposes.

Dyachenko decided to become a Muslim after researching the Islamic religion.

A "conversion ceremony" was held for Dyachenko, who applied to the District Mufti's Office with Girgin.

At the ceremony attended by District Mufti Kazım Ünsal, the woman was given information about the Islamic religion after the Quran was read.

Dyachenko shed tears while the Holy Quran was being read.

The woman who testified in the presence of witnesses was named "Emine".

Later, Dyachenko was given a "Certificate of Conversion", the Holy Quran and various religious publications were presented as a gift.
