The residential limit for electricity will be 3 thousand kilowatt-hours

The Board Decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) on the subject was published in today's issue of the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, as of January 1, 2027, the consumption amount within the scope of residential consumer will be 3 thousand kilowatt-hours per year for public institutions and organizations, local administrations, detached buildings used as residences, apartments and independent sections within apartments, housing cooperatives and housing sites, and common use places such as central heating, elevators, hydrophores, stair automatics, doormen's apartments and similar places where these places are measured with separate meters.

On the other hand, this amount will be applied as 150 million kilowatt-hours annually to temporary shelter centers established by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, facilities used for drinking water supply and distribution in villages, and to other consumers and agricultural activities consumer group, and 15 thousand kilowatt-hours annually to the remaining consumer groups.
