Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and 2 suspects in the courthouse in the fund investigation

The fund investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues.

In this context, Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, her husband İlyas Kaya and former CMB President İbrahim Ömer Gönül, who were called to testify once again, went to the courthouse.

The Kaya couple gave a statement to the prosecutor as suspects on October 7.

Following their statements, the audit report prepared by the CMB about the couple was also included in the file.

Former CMB Chairman Gönül was also questioned as a suspect on September 30.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance had authorized an investigation against Gönül for the crime of "abuse of office" upon the request of the chief prosecutor's office.
