Pension statement from Minister Işıkhan

Discussions on the budget, final accounts and Court of Accounts reports of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and affiliated institutions and organizations started in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Planning and Budget Commission.

Making a statement, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said:

"We are aware of the economic conditions experienced by our retirees and we continue our efforts to increase their welfare levels with determination.

In this context, we are carrying out a study that includes improvements in addition to the existing legal increases, which are aimed to be valid as of January 2027.

By the instructions of our esteemed President; We focus on an approach that takes into account income differences among our retirees, is based on justice and equity, and aims to improve the purchasing power and living standards of our retirees.

We continue our work by evaluating the process under the chairmanship of our Vice President, Mr. Cevdet Yılmaz, together with our Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, and our public institutions in the Economy Coordination Board.
