Happiness coming after 52 years in Amasya

Sami and Semen Taşdemir, who got married 52 years ago in Halifeli village of Amasya, could not have a wedding due to families' disagreement and financial difficulties.

Over the past years, the couple has been by each other's side in good times and bad times as they have lived their lives by farming and raising livestock.

However, their wedding dreams, which were left unfinished in their youth, were never forgotten even though the years passed.

When the Taşdemir couple experienced the wedding excitement at their relatives' wedding, they decided to complete their dreams that they could not realize 52 years ago.

The 70-year-old couple wore a wedding dress and groom's suit at their own wedding for the first time after 52 years of marriage.

Playing to the accompaniment of drums and zurna, Sami and Semen Taşdemir celebrated their relationship of more than half a century with their families.

The wedding, which they could not hold years ago, was completed this time with the happiness of their children and grandchildren.
