Ministry announced: Plush goose toy is being withdrawn from the market
The Ministry of Commerce announced that, as a result of examinations and laboratory analyzes within the scope of market surveillance and inspection activities, it was determined that a toy marketed as a 'plush goose' did not meet the mechanical safety criteria stipulated in the TS EN 71-1 standard and that it broke into small pieces and posed a risk of suffocation.
Due to this non-compliance, which may pose a serious danger especially to babies and young children, it was decided to ban the product in question from being placed on the market and to withdraw it from the market.
The product was made available to the public via the Untrusted Product Information System (GÜBİS).
The Ministry of Commerce used the following statement in its statement:
"We do not tolerate any products that threaten the health and safety of our children, and we resolutely continue our market surveillance and inspection activities in line with scientific analyzes and laboratory examinations in order to ensure that our citizens have access to safe products."
