TEKNOFEST stimulated Şanlıurfa tourism

Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), of which TRT is a communication partner and carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, welcomes its visitors at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.

Şanlıurfa Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Aydın Aslan said that the city, which stands out with its archeology and gastronomy, hosted a very important organization in the field of science and technology.

Stating that it was a nice week in the city due to TEKNOFEST, Aslan stated that the festival contributed to the promotion of Şanlıurfa's science, technology, gastronomy, archeology and cultural values ​​for 5 days.

Stating that there was an intense visitor activity in the city due to the festival, Aslan said that visitors, especially from surrounding provinces and different regions, stimulated the accommodation sector.

Stating that all hotels were full due to TEKNOFEST Southeast, which was held in the city between September 30 and October 4, Aslan said:

"When we look at TEKNOFEST, we see its direct impact not only on accommodation, but also on the food and beverage sector, transportation, perhaps dozens of sectors. It should not be evaluated only from Şanlıurfa's perspective. We can say that TEKNOFEST caused tourism activity in the surrounding provinces and the food and beverage establishments to fill up.

Due to the intensity of TEKNOFEST, the number of days we stay in Şanlıurfa has increased. "Our tourism season in Şanlıurfa has been delayed until December."
