The source of the bad smell was not garbage, but 100 cats

The heavy and bad smell emanating from a house in Kocavilayet District caused the residents of the neighborhood to react.

Citizens thought that the smell was caused by garbage accumulated in the house and reported it to the authorities.

When the police, health and police teams went to the address, they encountered a surprising sight.

The teams entered the house with masks and determined that the cause of the odor was not garbage, but cats. 100 cats of different ages and breeds were found in the rooms of the house. It was determined that the cats were housed in unhealthy conditions.

The situation was reported to the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks and veterinary teams. The cats were delivered to the municipality's animal care and rehabilitation center.
